St. John’s, NL – The Newfoundland Rogues picked up their 15th win of the season defeating the Tri-State Admirals 105-75 on Saturday night. The result sees the Rogues win their third straight game as they look to end their final series of the season on a high note.
The travelling Admirals squad didn’t make it easy for the home side; keeping the Rogues in check for the first half and making things a little too close for Coach Doug Partridge’s comfort. The dam would finally break near the end of the third quarter where the Rogues started pouring in shots and wouldn’t let up until the final buzzer. Veteran guard Kevin Bridgewaters led the Rogues in scoring with 20 points on a night where every Rogue had at least one bucket.
The Rogues will finish up their season tomorrow afternoon at the Mary Brown’s Centre against the Admirals, where one lucky fan will have the chance to shoot for a car courtesy of O’Neill Nissan. Fans attending tomorrow will also see the final games in the careers of Rogues stars Kevin Bridgewaters and Steven Earles.
