Windsor, ONT: The Newfoundland Rogues once again fell short on the road losing 110-99 to the Windsor Express on Friday. This result is the fourth straight road loss for the Rogues who sit in seventh place in the Basketball Super League with a 6-12 record.The Express exploded out of the gates and didn’t let up, leading by 24 points at the half. The Rogues fought back hard in the third and kept up the intensity in the fourth but just couldn’t do enough to complete the comeback. Zavier Turner (G), Latin Davis (G), and Vincent Boumann (C) starred for the Express while Rogues forward Tarkus Ferguson led all scorers with 34 points. Ferguson’s double-double performance is the most points scored in a single game by a Rogues player so far this season.
The Rogues will now turn their attention to the KW Titans for their third game in as many days. The Rogues will be desperate for a win to help turn around their shocking 1-5 away record on the season before the team heads back to the island. Tonight’s matchup tips off at 8:30 NST.
