Rogues fall in pivotal road game against Pharaohs

Pontiac, MI: The Newfoundland Rogues picked up another road loss against the Pontiac Pharaohs falling 132-117 on Thursday. The travelling Rogues squad battled through adversity getting to Michigan, but fell victim to a tough Pharaohs team at the most crucial time of the season. The Pharaohs continue to occupy the final Basketball Super League playoff spot in sixth while the Rogues remain in seventh place.

The home side Pharaohs held the lead for the majority of the contest and never looked back, crushing the visiting Rogues. Dwight Burton (G) starred for the Pharaohs with 31 points while the Rogues were led in points by TC Wright (G) with 26. Eric Boone (G) also picked up his first double-double since joining the Rogues collecting 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists during the course of the evening.

Thursday’s loss was the first of three games in as many days for the Rogues. They’ll take the trip back across the border for a crucial contest against the Windsor Express on Friday, February 21st. Tip-Off at 8:30 NST.
