Pontiac, MI: The Newfoundland Rogues were handed their first defeat of the 2024/25 BSL season losing 122-112 against the Pontiac Pharaohs. The Saturday-night contest was the first road game of the season for the Rogues who now sit at a 2-1 record.
During the energetic and high-scoring game, The Rogues led by 21 points only to see their lead shrink to one by halftime. Pharoahs guard James Towns led the home side to victory with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Rashad Smith (G) led Head Coach Reece Gaines’ Rogues squad with 25 points.
The Rogues will look to rebound from this defeat in Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday, November 26th when they take on the Glass City Wranglers.
