St. John’s, NL: The Newfoundland Rogues completed their three game sweep over the TBL’s Rochester Kingz on Saturday night 125-100. Since losing to the Albany Patroons on June 12th, 2023, the Rogues have won every game against TBL opposition continuing their multi-year winning streak.
Saturday’s game at the Mary Brown’s Centre saw the strongest push of the series from the away side Kingz. In the end, the Rogues did enough to keep a consistent double digit lead throughout most of the contest, completing their home series sweep. Fidel Norris (G) led the Kingz in scoring with 28 points while the Rogues were led by star guard Dedric Boyd’s 31 points. Rogues forward Jakorie Smith picked up his first double-double as a member of the Rogues with a very impressive 30 points and 10 rebounds.
The Rogues will have a few days of rest before returning to the Mary Brown’s Centre for a series against new TBL side the Tri-City Tide. Series starts on Friday, March 7th. 7:00PM Tip-Off.
