Express Battle Back vs Rogues, Hang On for Series Win

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The assembled Rogues fans held their breath as Isaiah Hill’s three-pointer bounced around the rim and the buzzer sounded at the Mary Brown’s Centre Saturday night. Unfortunately for the home team, the shot rolled out, preserving a 101-99 win for the Windsor Express in a back-and-forth contest that came down to the final seconds.
The rubber match of a three game series went to Windsor behind a strong 29 point, 10 rebound effort from 6′ 11″, 290lb big man William Claiborne who bullied the Rogues all series long.
Armani Chaney was one assist shy of a triple double leading the Rogues with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Marquise Collins chipped in with 21.
Friday night, a hearty group of fans braved the stormy conditions to watch the Express win 126-113. Billy White led Windsor with 32 points and William Claiborne added 28.
The Rogues were led by Armani Chaney with 40 points and 8 assists.
