Express Battle Back vs Rogues, Hang On for Series Win

ST. JOHN’S, NLThe assembled Rogues fans held their breath as Isaiah Hill’s three-pointer bounced around the rim and the buzzer sounded at the Mary Brown’s Centre Saturday night. Unfortunately for the home team, the shot rolled out, preserving a 101-99 win for the Windsor Express in a back-and-forth contest that came down to the final seconds.

The rubber match of a three game series went to Windsor behind a strong 29 point, 10 rebound effort from 6′ 11″, 290lb big man William Claiborne who bullied the Rogues all series long.

Armani Chaney was one assist shy of a triple double leading the Rogues with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Marquise Collins chipped in with 21.

Friday night, a hearty group of fans braved the stormy conditions to watch the Express win 126-113. Billy White led Windsor with 32 points and William Claiborne added 28.

The Rogues were led by Armani Chaney with 40 points and 8 assists.

The Rogues homestand continues this week as they welcome the Derby City Distillers to town Wednesday (March 29th), Friday (March 31st) and Saturday (April 1st). Located in Louisville, Kentucky, this is the Distillers first year in the TBL.
