St. John’s, NL – The Newfoundland Rogues defeated the ADS Sentinels 119-108 at the Mary Brown’s Centre on Wednesday night. This win marks the fourth-straight win on the bounce for Doug Partridge’s Rogues squad who find themselves in a rich vein of form after a shaky start to the season. The Sentinels certainly did not make things easy for the home side, pushing the pace of play for the majority of the 1st half and hitting some big time shots to lead at halftime. A Steven Earles-inspired run helped propel the Rogues into the lead to which they never looked back. The Sentinels saw key performances from Rodrick Mcgarthy Jr (26 points) and Taylan Grogen (22 points) while Rogues superstar Dedric Boyd once again led all scorers with a 39 point 10 rebound double-double. No player in the entire TBL averages more than Boyd’s 32 points-per-game, cementing himself as a lock for league MVP consideration. These two teams go at it again at the Mary Brown’s Centre on Thursday, April 2nd where the Rogues will look to make it a season-best five wins in a row.
