Rogues Derail Express, Take First Game of Series

ST. JOHN’S, NLThe Newfoundland Rogues left the Mary Browns Centre happy with a 115-107 win over the Windsor Express, Wednesday night. It was the team’s first win over an NBL-C team on the season.

Like most Rogues games this season, this one came down to the wire. Armani Chaney hit a huge three pointer to put the team ahead in the final minutes, and they never looked back.

Chaney led the Rogues with 27 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds. Deandre McIntyre made a strong contribution with 21 points and 4 rebounds.

Ja’myrin Jackson led the Express with 26.

The Rogues will be hoping for another strong performance Friday and Saturday, when they face off with the Express at the Mary Brown’s Center once again.

The hometown crowd had their first look at new big man Marquise Collins, who chipped in with 19 points and 3 rebounds.
