St. John’s, NL – The Newfoundland Rogues defeated the New England Kraken 109-88 on Friday night at the Mary Brown’s Centre. The win sees the Rogues improve to 10-7, good for second in their division as they continue to hunt down the Tri-City Tide for the top spot.
The Rogues controlled this one from the jump and led the Kraken for almost the entire 48 minutes. Even without their star guard Dedric Boyd, the Rogues were able to make light work over a Kraken side with a record of 1-6 in 2026. Rogues forwards Leonard Turner, Kingslee D’Silva and Noel Moffatt led the way with Moffatt in particular recording a full line (21 pts, 10 reb, 3 stl, 1 blk)
The Rogues look to do the same thing tomorrow night at the Mary Brown’s Centre when these two teams go at it again.
