Rogues drop first game of playoffs to Titans

Kitchener, ON: It was a night of celebration for the Basketball Super League as they tipped-off their first playoff game in league history. However, it was a night to forget for the Newfoundland Rogues losing 109-86 to the KW Titans. This win sees KW take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five first round series.

Armani Chaney’s 35 points weren’t enough to break down the number one seed in the BSL as the Rogues dropped their franchise lowest points total in a game (86). Curtis Hollis, Jaquan Lightfoot and former Rogue Corey Boyd led the home side on the scoresheet as the Titans improved to 3-0 against the Rogues at home this season.

The Rogues will have a day to regroup before returning to the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium for game 2 against the Titans on Sunday, May 5th, 3:30 NST Tip-Off.
