Rogues drop second straight of playoffs vs Titans

Kitchener, ON: The Newfoundland Rogues continued their postseason struggles losing 118-96 to the KW Titans on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, the Rogues now see themselves 0-2 down in their first round, best of five series against the top-seeded Titans.

Despite dealing with a minor knock early into the game, BSL MVP frontrunner Armani Chaney led all Rogues scorers with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists in 39 minutes of action. Curtis Hollis and Jaquan Lightfoot played a huge role for the Titans with 24 (game high) and 21 points respectively.

Sitting one game away from elimination, it’s do or die for the Rogues. They must win three games in as many nights against the Titans to advance to the inaugural BSL Playoff Finals. The Rogues have just under a week to strategize before returning to the Mary Brown’s Centre in St. John’s for Game 3 against the Titans on Friday, May 10th, 7:00 NST Tip-Off.
