Rogues make Playoff push vs Sudbury Five

St. John’s, NL: The Newfoundland Rogues made a victorious return to the Mary Brown’s Centre on Thursday with a 123-108 victory over the Sudbury Five.

This one was closer than the score suggests. The Five were right in the mix until a furious fourth quarter propelled the Rogues to victory. They were led by Armani Chaney with 42 points. Paul Harrison led all Five scorers with 27.

This was an important game for both squads. With the win, the Rogues moved ahead of the Five for third place in the BSL standings. Those implications will continue to be a factor as the Rogues host the Five again on Saturday and Sunday.
