Rogues repeat history with win over Kraken

St. John’s, NL: In the Newfoundland Rogues’ last contest with the Rhode Island Kraken, they made history. On Saturday night, they did it again. The Rogues beat their own record for most points scored in a BSL game with a 158-128 victory.

That wasn’t the only story in this one. The battle of the hometown heroes was in full swing. Newfoundlander Noel Moffat scored 26 points for the Kraken. Meanwhile, Corner Brook native Daniel Foo contributed 15 for the Rogues.

Otherwise, Newfoundland was – as is often the case – led by Armani Chaney.  He had 30 points and 7 assists.

Next for the Rogues is an important road trip. They improved to 25-15 after this game, good for third in the BSL standings. They’ll need to finish fourth or better to qualify for the BSL playoffs.
