St. John’s, NL – The Newfoundland Rogues picked up their first home win of the season on Wednesday defeating the Port City Power 92-86. This win sees the Rogues improve to 3-4 on the TBL season while the Power fall to 1-5.Fans filed into the Mary Brown’s Centre for a very special Inclusion Night in collaboration with Easter Seals. This was the Rogues’ first home game since Valentine’s Day with the team returning home from their longest road trip of the season just 48 hours prior. The Rogues got off to a quick start and managed to hold the Power to a comfortable lead for the majority of the game. Familiar Power faces such as Anthony Ottley Jr. (F) and Graddy Kanku (F) as well as star Isaiah Ankhrah (G) tried their best to pull the travelling squad back into it, cutting the Rogues lead to just one late into the 4th quarter. In the end, the Rogues were able to see it through to the finish giving their home fans a much needed win. There won’t be much time for rest as these two teams go at it again once again the next night. Tip-Off at 7PM.
