Rogues Stomp Salem, Sweep Series

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Rogues capped off a sweep of the Salem Capitals Saturday night with a 114-108 win at the Mary Brown’s Centre. The three-game set was a fast-paced, high-scoring affair, with the Rogues piling up an eye-opening 392 points in the series.
Jacorie Archie led the way on Saturday, with 26 points on a scintillating 10-13 shooting performance, including 7 of 8 from three point land. Armani Chaney chipped in with 22 points and 8 assists.
Salem was led again by Joseph Bellinger Jr. who scored 29.
On Friday night, Brandon Johnson led a balanced Rogues attack to a blow-out 134-86 win, dropping 40 points on a range of jumpers and drives. Eight Rogues scored in double-figures, including Isaiah Hil’s 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Joseph Bellinger Jr. led the Capitals with 13.
The Rogues are off for a week before a US west coast road trip through Wenatchee, Seattle, Salem and Vancouver, Washington. They return to the Mary Brown’s Centre March 22nd for a three game series against the Windsor Express – their final home series against an NBL-C opponent.
