Rogues take series in emphatic win over Five

St. John’s, NL: The Newfoundland Rogues avenged Saturday’s loss, beating the Sudbury Five 121-110 at the Mary Brown’s Centre on Sunday afternoon.

In a game with major playoff ramifications, the Rogues held a firm lead over the Five for the majority of the contest. Rogues Head Coach Jerry Williams made a rare change to his starting lineup, substituting Robert Hobson and Marquis Collins (Undisclosed Injury) for Shawndarius Cowart and Lewis Djonkam. This move paid dividends with Cowart dropping a career-high 30 points to go with 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Armani Chaney led all scorers with 35 points as the Rogues remain in the 4th and final playoff spot in the Basketball Super League.

The Rogues will have a chance to rest up before hosting the London Lightning in the final series of the regular season starting on Friday, April 26th at the Mary Brown’s Centre.
