St. John’s, NL – The Newfoundland Rogues defeated the Halifax Hoopers on Friday night 129-106 at the Mary Brown’s Centre. This is the Rogues fifth straight victory over the Hoopers as they close out their last series against Atlantic Canadian opposition.
Both teams came out of the gates flying to the delight of a home crowd already spurred on by Rogues Fan Fest. The Rogues shot the leather off the ball over the course of their 129 point performance; The highest output of the season for Coach Partridge’s side. All Star Guard Dedric Boyd once again led all scorers with a dominating 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists display while Norm Burry, Ryan Harnett, Noel Moffatt, Anthony Lefeau, Kevin Bridgewaters, and Leonard Turner all scored in double digits.
