touchdown rogues!

The Newfoundland Rogues touched down into their new home on November 1st, 2021.

Greeted by a number of fans and supporters the team walked out of the terminals at St. John’s International Airport to cheering, waving, and smiling (behind the masks).

The latest team to join the American Basketball Association (ABA) will be playing all 30 of their regular season games at the newly renamed Mary Brown’s Centre (previously Mile One Centre). The first home game will be taking place on November 27th, 2021.

The Newfoundland Rogues are pleased to announce the signing of point guard Myles Charvis. The 27 year old Mississauga, Ontario native has deep roots in Canadian basketball having had a collegiate career at Ryerson University and the University of Waterloo, as well as playing for the Guelph Nighthawks of the CEBL and the Kitchener Waterloo Titans of the NBL-C.

Rogues head coach Jerry Williams was a big supporter of the signing.

“I’m very excited to have Canadian talent with professional experience, I feel Myles will do really well with the other talented guys we have coming in.”

Assistant Coach Stacey Leawood knew Myles from his time in the CEBL,  “Myles is an intense competitor, a great leader and has been a fan favourite throughout his pro career thus far. He made his mark in the CEBL and NBL-C for the past three years and I know he will positively impact this organization on and off the court.”
